Brief Artist Statement​

Throughout the summer of 2025, my kiddo and I were spending early mornings checking on our first dye and vegetable garden at our new home. One morning, we noticed the sun interacting with some spider webs in a way we’d never seen before. The spider silk was shining rainbows. It was as though the silk was splitting the white light into the rainbow spectrum.

This video captures our wonder and delight focusing on the ephemeral, cycling colors and the spider who wove them into existence.
